<p>New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) invites engineering and design firms engaged in marine infrastructure to submit proposals for the provision of design and environmental services in connection with NYCEDCs execution of its Marine Highway Project, partially funded by the US Department of Transportation Maritime Administration (MARAD).</p><p>NYCEDC is dedicated to expanding economic opportunities through the development of its various assets, which include waterfront activation projects supporting Americas Marine Highway Program. Increasing the capacity of NYCEDC-managed docks and piers for freight transit supports NYCEDC objectives of improving transport in the Citys waterways, reducing emissions from truck-based transportation, and decreasing wear and tear on the Citys roads.</p><p>NYCEDC seeks firms experienced in marine engineering to design infrastructure improvements on waterfront sites located in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx that will support freight vessel transit and cargo transloading in such sites. Selected firms will also be engaged to execute a NEPA environmental review in parallel with the design engineering tasks. </p><p>NYCEDC plans to select a consultant on the basis of factors stated in the RFP which include, but are not limited to: the quality of the proposal, the overall experience of the respondent firm, the experience of key staff identified in the proposal, experience and quality of any subcontractors proposed, demonstrated successful experience in performing services similar to those encompassed in the RFP, and the proposed fee.</p><p>It is the policy of NYCEDC to comply with all federal, state and City laws and regulations which prohibit unlawful discrimination because of race, creed, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, marital status and other protected category and to take affirmative action in working with contracting parties to ensure certified Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) share in the economic opportunities generated by NYCEDCs projects and initiatives. <p>This Project consists of demolishing and replacing an existing split system with an air-cooled condenser (ACCU) on the roof and an air handler (AHU) in the cellar with a new split unit (AHU & ACCU) and associated ductwork, piping and controls. Boiler and domestic water heater flues and controls are being replaced. 4 Exhaust fans at the roof are also being removed and replaced. Plumbing scope for this project entails the installation of a new gas shutoff valve within existing gas piping for the existing boiler, new solenoid valve for the existing domestic water heater gas piping and the cleaning of existing floor and funnel drains. Structural scope is framing of new roof penetrations and new steel dunnage for the replacement ACCU. <p>New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) is requesting proposals for a Refreshments operator to operate the Refreshments areas (Ferryboat Refreshments Areas) on the Staten Island Ferryboats (Ferryboats). Each year, the Staten Island Ferry provides ferry services between Staten Island and Lower Manhattan to over 15 million people. Nearly 45,000 passengers ride the Staten Island Ferry on weekdays (amounting to 117 weekday daily trips). Operated and maintained by the New York City Department of Transportation (NYCDOT), the Staten Island Ferry is the nonvehicular form of transportation between Staten Island and Manhattan that is free to the public. NYCDOT operates a total of nine (9) ferryboats between lower Manhattan and Staten Island, and at any point in time, up to four of the boats are operating.</p><p>The objective of this RFP is to select a respondent (the Respondent) that will provide food and beverage services to ferryboat passengers while optimizing revenue for the City of New York (City). Ferryboat Refreshments Areas are being offered for up to a maximum initial term of ten (10) years, with possible extensions bringing the total term up to a maximum of twenty (20) years. In addition to the Ferryboat Refreshments Areas, the Respondent may choose to lease a retail space (Optional Retail Space) located in St. George Ferry Terminal, Suite SG1, for storage of the Refreshments inventory. Proposals should indicate if the Optional Retail Space will be required. The scope of refreshment services shall include, but not limited to, providing food and/or beverage services onboard the Ferryboats.</p><p>NYCEDC plans to select a Respondent on the basis of factors stated in the RFP which include, but are not limited to: the quality of the proposal, readiness to enter into an agreement, experience of key staff identified in the proposal, type of food and beverage offerings, demonstrated successful experience in performing services similar to those encompassed in the RFP and the proposed fee.</p><p>It is the policy of NYCEDC to comply with all federal, state and City laws and regulations which prohibit unlawful discrimination because of race, creed, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, marital status and other protected category and to take affirmative action in working with contracting parties to ensure certified Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) share in the economic opportunities generated by NYCEDCs projects and initiatives. <p>NYCHA, by issuing this RFP, seeks proposals (Proposals), which shall include the Consultants Cost Proposal, which shall be in the form of the Cost Proposal sheet as provided in Attachment A of this RFP, from qualified vendors (the Proposers) to provide NYCHA with certain building investigations, laser scanning and Revit modeling prior to the design-phase of a construction project, to better inform architects and engineers regarding the existing needs and conditions of various building components, as detailed more fully within Section II of this RFP (collectively, the Services).</p><p>The release date of this RFP is January 26, 2024 (the Release Date).</p><p>A non-mandatory Proposers conference (Proposers Conference) will be hosted online via Microsoft Teams on February 2, 2024, at 12:00 P.M. Proposers Conference Meeting Information: 646-838-1534, Conference ID: 868891680#. Although attendance is not mandatory at the Proposers Conference, it is strongly recommended that all interested Proposers attend. Proposers who wish to attend must RSVP by e-mail to NYCHAs Coordinator by no later than February 1, 2024, at 4:00 P.M. and NYCHAs Coordinator will provide log-in information. NYCHA additionally recommends that Proposers e-mail questions in advance of the Proposers Conference to NYCHAs Coordinator by no later than 12:00 p.m. on February 1, 2024. NYCHA will upload all questions and answers to iSupplier.</p><p>Proposals must be successfully submitted into iSupplier in final form no later than 2 P.M. on February 26, 2024 (the Proposal Submission Deadline).
