<p>New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) invites qualified nonprofit organizations and cultural operators to submit proposals (Request for Proposals: or RFP) for the operation, management, and programming of the event and theater space (approximately 8,283 square feet) located at 1680 Lexington Avenue (106th Street), Manhattan, New York (the 'Event Space'), as more particularly described herein and in the RFP. NYCEDC anticipates that the services will include all aspects of event space activation, community engagement, programming, and financial management of the Event Space.</p><p>NYCEDC is engaged in strengthening arts, culture, and civic life in East Harlem and upper Manhattan. The Event Space at 1680 Lexington Avenue  a landmarked, five-story building constructed in 1879 and home to longstanding cultural tenants including Taller Boricua, Puerto Rican Traveling Theater, and Los Pleneros de la 21  serves as a critical community anchor for the surrounding neighborhood. NYCEDC believes no community should lack access to high-quality cultural programming and civic space, and is accordingly seeking to identify a mission-aligned Event Space Operator (the 'Selected Operator') to activate the Event Space through sustained, community-driven programming, deep local stakeholder engagement, and sound financial management. NYCEDC seeks an Operator capable of developing and executing a culturally resonant programming calendar, establishing a financially sustainable operating model, and coordinating seamlessly with NYCEDC throughout a multi-phase $10.3 million capital improvement program commencing June 2026.</p><p>NYCEDC plans to select an Event Space Operator on the basis of factors stated in the RFP, which include, but are not limited to: the completeness and quality of the overall response and its consistency with the RFP's stated goals; the respondent's readiness and demonstrated vision for activating and programming the Event Space in alignment with the cultural and community mission of 1680 Lexington Avenue; the respondent's financial capacity and financial impact, including current financial health, ability to secure earned revenue and philanthropic funding, and long-term viability of operations through the multi-phase $10.3 million capital improvement program; and the respondent's demonstrated experience operating nonprofit cultural or community spaces, engaging local communities, and providing culturally relevant programming reflective of East Harlem and upper Manhattan.</p><p>It is the policy of NYCEDC to comply with all federal, state and City laws and regulations which prohibit unlawful discrimination because of race, creed, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, marital status and other protected category and to take affirmative action in working with contracting parties to ensure certified Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) share in the economic opportunities generated by NYCEDCs projects and initiatives. <p>New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) to identify qualified Fund Administrators to manage the Manhattan Cruise Terminal Community Fund (MCTCF) designed to support projects identified by community members and may include, but are not limited to, environmental stewardship, public realm improvements, and workforce development initiatives in the Hells Kitchen.</p><p>The selected Fund Administrator will be responsible for leading and managing transparent project solicitation and selection processes, overseeing Fund disbursement, implementing robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks, and memorializing funding priorities in collaboration with local stakeholders all through an inclusive community engagement process.</p><p>The MCTCF is financed through a $1 per passenger fee collected from cruise lines operating under exclusive berthing agreements. NYCEDC anticipates approximately $2 million in total funds for MCTCF by the end of calendar year 2026, with disbursement amounts expected to range between $700,000 annually. The administration fee for the selected organization will be sourced from a portion of the MCTCF Funds. <p>New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) invites qualified Special Inspection Agencies (Consultants) to submit proposals to provide On-Call Special Inspections and related services for various NYCEDC projects.<br><br>Special Inspections replaced Controlled Inspections for all construction projects filed on or after July 1, 2008. Under the New York City Building Code (NYC Building Code) and the Rules of the City of New York (RCNY), certain materials, operations, and equipment must be inspected or tested to verify compliance with applicable code requirements. Special Inspections may only be performed by Special Inspectors employed by a Department of Buildings (DOB)approved Special Inspection Agency.<br><br>All required inspections and tests will be conducted by a Special Inspection Agency retained by NYCEDC. The selected Consultants will be expected to perform Special Inspection services as specified in, and in accordance with, individual Project Assignments issued during the Contract Term. These Project Assignments may involve various NYCEDC construction, renovation, or rehabilitation projects located throughout New York City. <p>The New York City (NYC) Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYC Health Department or the Agency) is seeking up to six (6) qualified Contractors who will each lead a Community Emergency Network (CEN) that will enhance the Agencys ability to mitigate the public health impacts of emergencies in NYC. The CENs will be networks that use models inspired by Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD), such as Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD) and Long-Term Recovery Groups (LTRG). They will demonstrate focus on hyperlocal preparedness and response planning within their community (e.g. information sharing, identifying needs and gaps in services and offering a structure for community-based emergency collaboration during all phases of emergencies). Additionally, they will coordinate community-based service providers (i.e. nonprofits, businesses, congregations, clinics, associations, individual leaders, and other nongovernmental providers) in the preparedness, response, recovery, and/or mitigation phases of emergency management. The contract term is anticipated to be for six (6) years from March 1, 2027, to February 28, 2033, with no renewal options.</p><p>There will be a Pre-Proposal Conference at 1:00 P.M., ET, on June 16, 2026, via teleconference. Attendance by proposers is optional but strongly recommended by the NYC Health Department. To register for the teleconference, please RSVP for the conference by 2:00 P.M.
