Request
Hello, this is a follow up to a previously requested a data layer the Flood Hazard Mapper web application named 'Base Flood Elevation (2015 PFIRMs)', with the attribute 'Elevation Above Grade" (it is the fourth item listed in the layer list).
You pointed me FEMA's webpage, but the dataset I need is not in FEMA's collection. I believe the layer I need https://dcp.maps.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=5268a74fd4b04a7894c9b85ef7a8a6a3 may have been developed by DCP by overlaying the FEMA BFE with the City's DEM. Can you please advise is you can send me this layer as a shapefile or geodatabase. Please call me at 949 235 6517 if it would help to discuss. Thank you.

Response
I cleared with our agency that we can share the data with you. Please submit an email to dcpopendata@planning.nyc.gov. The Open Data feedback platform does not allow us to see your email address. Once you send the request for the data I can make the data available through one of our data sharing platforms.
I do want to point out that there are some limitations with this data including;
This dataset is being provided by the Department of City Planning (DCP) for informational purposes only. DCP does not warranty the completeness, accuracy, content, or fitness for any particular purpose or use of the dataset, nor are any such warranties to be implied or inferred with respect to the dataset as furnished on the website. DCP and the City are not liable for any deficiencies in the completeness, accuracy, content, or fitness for any particular purpose or use the dataset, or applications utilizing the dataset, provided by any third party.
Also, here is more detail about how the dataset was created and its purpose: FEMA’s Preliminary Flood Insurance Rate Maps (PFIRMs), released in 2015 as part of a citywide flood map update, are the best available flood hazard data for building code and planning purposes. They show areas vulnerable to flooding from 1% annual chance storm, also sometimes called the Special Flood Hazard Area or 100-year floodplain. They also show today’s 0.2% annual chance floodplain, also known as the 500-year floodplain. In addition to showing the extent of flooding, the PFIRMs also show Base Flood Elevations (BFE). BFEs are the computed elevation to which floodwater is anticipated to rise during a 1% annual chance storm, measured relative to the North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD88). Combining the height of the BFE above the ground elevation at the building’s location with required freeboard
will determine the elevation to which a structure must be elevated or floodproofed to meet code requirements for new construction or to receive reduced flood insurance premiums. This layer displays the height of the 2015 PFIRM BFEs above ground elevation based on the 2010 NYC Digital Elevation Model. Property owners should consult a certified engineer or surveyor to determine the exact elevation of their structure in relation to the BFE.
Thank you,
