Request
I found that the Department of Transportation at New York City released the Citywide Mobility Survey 2017, which helps understand people' travel patterns, especially related to new options such as Uber and Lyft. Having said that, I am looking for more detailed location information for trip origins and destinations (e.g., x and y geocodes). The public version of the Survey dataset contains only zonal level information, which is not small enough for modeling.
With detailed location information, we, a Georgia Tech transportation research team, plan to analyze factors affecting Uber/Lyft rides and the consequences of use of these services on vehicle ownership and residential location choice. We plan to use the detailed information only for academic research.
