Champlain Hudson Power Express, Pre-Phase Ia Archeological Screening
Report Abstract
Energy transmission project which stretches from Canada to New York City, passing through multiple counties in New York and Connecticut. Sites located on or adjaent to project route include Indigenous Peoples sites, historic industrial sites along riverbanks and canals, Revolutionary War forts, and shipwrecks. Many of these areas are on or eligible for listing on National Heritage Areas and/or the National Historic registry. All efforts should be made to avoid disturbing known archaeological sites, and if this is not possible, further archaeological investigation will be necessary before the project proceeds.

DRAFT: Phase IA Archaeological Documentary Study - Rehabilitation of the High Bridge in the boroughs of Manhattan and the Bronx, New York. City of New York, Department of Parks and Recreation

Documentary study for proposed renovation of High Bridge over the Harlem River between Manhattan and the Bronx. The bridge is part of the Old Croton Aqueduct system, a New York City Landmark and is listed on the State and National Register of Historic Places. The Manhattan Ramp Pier and the Bronx Ramp Pier areas may contain 19th century domestic resources. If renovations would require subsurface disturbance then further archaeological testing would be recommended.

Archaeological Overview Survey - Addendum #3 to Technical Report, New Jersey-New York Expansion Project, Staten Island and Manhattan, New York
Report Abstract
Pipeline project with construction sites in parts of Staten Island, Manhattan, and New Jersey. The project has moved or adjusted several planned construction locations, due to environmental and archaeological concerns. This report, which looks at the new locations, found that in many cases, soil borings indicate that there was little or no archaeological potential, so no further testing was recommended in these areas. In a few locations, further soil borings are recommended to assess archaeological sensitivity, as it is possible prehistoric resources may be intact.
