I am very grateful that I can continue to receive remote counseling services with my therapist. I have been working remotely with my therapist, (name omitted), since the pandemic. Without remote service, I don’t know how I would have been able to continue this service. Due to my depression and anxiety, it would have been nearly impossible to maintain the service if I could not work with (name omitted) this way. There was a particularly tough time in the pandemic when I struggled tremendously. Even before the pandemic, getting to the city from Roosevelt Island was not always easy. I was always warned that I and my children were being watched and because of the abduction trait, I went everywhere with Uber, Lift or car service. I still do not feel comfortable taking public transportation because of the abduction trait. I was running out of money and my rent was behind. Up until now even with the Order of Protection, I still don’t feel safe. And coordinating the children and their learning is very difficult without remote services from FJC. My lawyer, (name omitted), has been helping me with updates on my case and I am really grateful for all the ways and how everyone at FJC has been helping me and my family especially in this pandemic with remote services.
