NYC DOT is proposing to implement a variety of treatments to the B82 Select Bus Service Route in the Midwood, Flatlands, Canarsie, and Starrett City sections of Brooklyn Community Districts 5, 15, and 18. The estimated time of completion (Build year) is 2021. Along Kings Highway, the project will include expanding the existing median bus stops for the B82 local bus, adding bus pads, and constructing pedestrian safety and access improvements, including pedestrian islands, new medians, median extensions, and curb extensions. All medians from East 22nd Street to Avenue K will be reconstructed bringing them to a state of good repair. The service roads and sidewalks along the medians will be reconstructed as needed to ensure ADA compliance and proper grading. Flatlands Avenue between Avenue K and Pennsylvania Avenue, and Pennsylvania Avenue between Flatlands Avenue and Seaview Avenue, will require bus bulbs at some SBS stops, bus pads, roadway resurfacing, and pedestrian safety and access improvements, including pedestrian islands, new medians, median extensions, and curb extensions.

The proposed project is to repair Loomis Brook Culvert located in the Town of Tompkins, Delaware County within the Cannonsville Reservoir on BWS Road No. 7. Loomis Brook Culvert (BIN 2226480) is a double barrel, cast-in-place, reinforced concrete box culvert, which conveys the Loomis Brook, a class A(TS) stream to the reservoir. This culvert is one of eleven structures planned to be rehabilitated in the Delaware Watershed under a single construction contract, DEL-150. Construction work on this contract is expected to take three years, with 9 months planned for Loomis Brook Culvert site, starting in 2013. The structure exhibits structural deficiencies such as concrete spalling, horizontal and vertical cracks, mapcracking, efflorescence, scaling, eroded stream banks in the vicinity of the outlet and exposed wingwall footings. The scope of work for this construction contract is to provide a minimum 15 year service life for the structure at completion of construction.
