Project Description
New York City Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) proposes to set up temporary lab and equipment trailers, a temporary metal framed fabric structure for equipment and chemical storage, and a temporary water supply pump for the purpose of conducting a 12 to 18-month pilot water filtration study (the proposed action), located at Delaware Shaft 4 (State Highway 208 and Armato Lane), in the Town of Gardiner, Ulster County. The proposed action is necessary to comply with the 2017 Filtration Avoidance Determination (FAD) issued by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA). The 2017 FAD outlines the conditions that New York City must meet to maintain filtration avoidance for its Catskill/Delaware (Cat/Del) water supply system. One of these conditions requires New York City to conduct a comprehensive review of filtration methods and technologies and to develop a conceptual design for a filtration facility. The pilot facilities would be located on the Delaware Shaft 4 site (Shaft 4) located in Gardiner, NY which is a secure site with a gravel accessway from Route 207. This proposed action was developed to evaluate whether ozone-direct filtration remains the best treatment alternative, should filtration be required.

New York Hall of Science Parking Access and Safety Improvements
Project Description
The New York City Department of Parks & Recreation (NYC Parks), is proposing access and safety improvements at the existing surface parking lot on the New York Hall of Science Museum campus at 47-01 111th Street in Flushing Meadows Corona Park in the Corona Heights neighborhood of Queens Community District 4. The New York Hall of Science Museum campus occupies approximately 27 acres in the northwestern portion of the park (Block 2018, p/o Lot 1), and the existing surface parking lot is located to the north of the existing museum building and immediately north of the new Q369 Hall of Science 3K Center. The purpose of the Proposed Project is to address transportation and pedestrian safety concerns at the existing parking lot, which would include reconfiguration of the existing parking lot, including closing the existing parking lot entrance and creating a new entrance via a new curb cut on 111th Street. and creating a new dedicated route from within the parking lot to the Grand Central Parkway. The reconfiguration of the parking lot would relocate some of the parking spaces from the existing parking lot to the horseshoe along 111th Street and Avenue of Science, which would be done by new striping along the park road. Parking space along the horseshoe and Avenue of Science would only be utilized to serve visitors during events at the nearby USTA Billy Jean King National Tennis Center. There would be no change in the total number of parking spaces on the Project Site. In addition, the proposed improvements at the existing parking lot would include pedestrian ramps, concrete curbs, installation of moveable concrete jersey barriers, landscaping, limited stormwater infrastructure (if required), and new asphalt pavement at the new entrance, new route to the Grand Central Parkway, and small portions of the parking lot.

Project Description
The Applicant, Enclave on 241st LLC, requests discretionary funding from the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) to enable an affordable housing project at 714 East 241st Street in the Wakefield neighborhood of the Bronx, Community District 12. The Project Site comprises one zoning lot - Bronx Block 5087, Lots 1, 16, 18, 54 and 65. The Project Site was rezoned as part of the East 241st Street Rezoning, which rezoned all of Block 5087 from M1-1 to R7D/C2-4. An Environmental Assessment Statement (EAS) was completed and Negative Declaration was issued (CEQR No. 18DCP094X) in 2018; the rezoning was approved by City Council in February 2019. The EAS analyzed both projected and potential development sites on Block 5087. The Project Site was part of Projected Development Site 1, which comprised former Lots 1, 9 and 12. A nine-story, mixed-use building with 186 dwelling units (Dus) was analyzed on this site. All 186 Dus were assumed to be financed through HPDs Mix and Match program whereby 93 of the 186 Dus would be low-income households, which are generally defined as households that earn 80 percent or less of the Area Median Income (AMI). An E-designation (E-484) was concurrently mapped on these lots as part of the rezoning. The Applicant has obtained a Notice to Proceed for the air quality and noise , noise components of the E-Designation (February 23, 2021 - OER Project Number 20EHAN010X) for the Proposed Development.
