Ohels main locations are at 1268 E. 14th Street, Brooklyn, and 156 B. 9th Street, Queens. They also operate residences and shelters throughout NYC. Ohel Childrens Home and Family Services, Inc. is a nonprofit 501-C-3 that helps individuals and families deal with lifelong disabilities, life cycle needs, traumatic events, addiction issues, and situational crises. When Ohel moved into 1268 E. 14th Street in Brooklyn in 2018, its basement, including parking and floors 1-3, were constructed. The fourth floor of the facility  comprising 13,000 square feet  was left an unfinished, open space with rough plumbing, rough electrical, and sprinklers, but without walls. This construction will allow Ohel to build out the fourth floor into sorely-needed program space.

Rockaway Shore Front Skate Park Expansion

The Rockaway Shore Front Skate Park was initially constructed in 2003 and consists of a concrete paved space with steel and wood skate ramps, rails and other features surrounded by a chain link fence. The skate park was severely damaged by Superstorm Sandy, and following that storm event, portions of the skate park were rendered unusable. As part of the project, the park will be cleared of the damaged existing skate features, and the skate park area will be expanded westward into adjacent vacant space between the Shore Front Parkway, the Rockaway Boardwalk and existing pedestrian access ramps. The approximate area of addition is 8,000 square feet. Additionally, a new entry plaza will be constructed on the eastern side of the skatepark to provide a welcoming entrance to both the skate park and the boardwalk.
