Brooklyn Cruise Terminal Shore Power Cable Positioning Device

The Brooklyn Cruise Terminal facility (BCT) is located at 72 Bowne Street in Brooklyn, within the Atlantic Basin (Block 515, Lot 61). The New York City Economic Development Corporation (EDC) leases the BCT from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) and has an operating agreement with Ports America for the cruise terminal and associated shore power system. Under this agreement EDC is responsible for any major capital improvements to the shore power system. The shore power system enables cruise ships to connect to the shoreside electrical grid, allowing them to shut down their main engines to reduce local emissions while docked.
