Sorry for the delay in responding, the Department of City Planning (DCP) was just assigned this ticket but it looks like it was submitted in September. We have published MapPLUTO 23v3 in October which used GeoSupport version 23C, but the updated Commercial Waste Zones were not part of that GeoSupport version. Since then, we have released GeoSupport 23D, which does contain the new Commercial Waste Zones but the will not be included in PLUTO until the major release of MapPLUTO 24v1, which is scheduled for January 2024.

If you have addresses or BBLs you could run them through GeoSupport to receive the updated Commercial Waste Zones.

How frequently is this data actually updated? And once it is updated, how far into the future does it know the paving schedule? For example sometimes a milling will be scheduled for a street but the paving date will be unknown. Thanks!

Hi again!

We noticed some map errors for Inclusionary Housing Districts in Community District 2 in Brooklyn. The IH maps from Appendix F in the Zoning Resolution and the maps on Zola do not match.

Here are two examples:
67 Lafayette Ave in Downtown Brooklyn Community District 2
490 Myrtle Ave in Clinton Hill Community District 2

We did a quick look at all the boros and it appears these are the only two maps that are inaccurately drawn.

Also, the IH dataset on open data, which also shows this error, was last updated 2 1/2 years ago. Could you please update this?

Inclusionary Housing Designated Areas

The Department of City Planning (DCP) reviewed the two areas in question and agree that the Inclusionary Housing boundaries needed to be adjusted in both areas of Brooklyn CD2. These boundaries have been updated and will be released early next month as part of our monthly data releases. You will also see the updated boundaries in Zola about a week after the data release.

Also, wanted to mention that the Inclusionary Housing Designated Areas (IH or IHDA) program is still active but no new areas will be mapped as it has been replaced with the Mandatory Inclusionary Housing (MIH). These are different and distinct programs. This is the reason IHDA has not bee updated in two and a half years, we only release updates if corrections to the data are needed.

The E designations dataset does not have hazmat dates filled out. On NYC.GOV, the Big Bytes of Data does have hazmat dates filled out. You can also confirm this with the Zoning Resolution. For example R-27 has a Hazmat date of 4/22/2019, which is in both the Zoning resolution and in the dataset on GOV. https://zr.planning.nyc.gov/appendix-c-table-2-city-environmental-quality-review-ceqr-environmental-requirements-environmental. This data set is pulling VCAT and/or EVCAT violations from the old BISweb system. That is not correct, it is missing a LOT of data that is now only available on DOB Now. Is it possible to report the VCAT violation data here? You can see these violations by going to DOB NOw, click on violations, enter a BIN number like 3418186 and then you will see the popup with the violation details.

These appear to now be called FTF or Failure to File violations.

 2) click Options, and
3) select Export all to CSV.
