I recently downloaded 311 SRs for the month of March 2023. I found that a few of the records had a "Closed Date" that was earlier than the "Open Date", which seems impossible. I found a total of 30 such SRs in my data export, all from DOT.

They are documented into the system after the fix, which is usually the next business day but have the close out the previous date (the actual date of the fix.)

Hi, my name is *****, and I’m a journalism student at Syracuse University. I was recently examining the Motor Vehicle Collisions - Crashes data set. I discovered that from 8/31/22 - 9/3/22, there were 780 reported crashes. However, from 9/4/22 - 12/24/22, there were only 210 reported crashes. That doesn’t seem to add up. I would like to see an outline or any file that shows how the NYPD keeps track of this data. If that is not possible, I would like to speak with a representative of NYC Open Data.

8/31/22 - 9/3/22, there were 1,182 reported crashes.

The data contains five (5) fields that are not included in the Data Dictionary. These fields are located at the far right side of the data table, and include: Zip Codes, Community Districts, Borough Boundaries, City Council Districts, and Police Precincts.

I am working on a data analysis with the ***** Dept of Statistics. It would be most helpful to understand the usage (and perhaps the set of legal values) of these 5 additional fields. Thank you.

Hello,

I am a graduate student conducting some research at ***** that involves quantifying traffic flows using Automated Traffic Counts.

As a case study, we're looking at Schermerhorn St. between Bond & Nevins St. (SegmentID: 22829). There are ATR counts on all adjacent street segments during a simultaneous period of ~2 days. However, these counts show an inflow volume into this street segment that far exceeds the outflow. Unless tens of thousands of cars parked ended up parking in this street, this volume mismatch is alarming and suggests there's an issue with how counts were collected. Are the long-lat coordinates in the dataset perhaps inaccurate? What would cause the ATRs to undercount / overcount vehicles?

This dataset doesn't include newer train stations such as 86th Street on the Q and Arthur Kill on the SIR. Furthermore, many station names and latitude and longitude coordinates are inconsistent with other published data. For example, along with also missing the train stations above, this list of subway stations, "https://data.cityofnewyork.us/Transportation/Subway-Stations/arq3-7z49", has "Broadway Junction-East New York" under a different name (Broadway Junction) and different latitude and longitude coordinates.
What would also make this dataset much easier to interact with would be the inclusion of either the stop ID, stop code, or GTFS ID.

Thank you for patience as we gathered the answer to your inquiry. In this dataset, we only post executed evictions. The data set lists whether an eviction is an “Ejectment” or “Not an Ejectment” to differentiate the landlord/tenant relationship at the location. The courts state that in an ejectment, the defendant has no lease or landlord/tenant relationship and they are not legally entitled to possess the property.

I want to remember the hr generalist names, and create a dataframe with their information so I can understand who to contact in case my information is exchanged. the generalist that I was assigned to since onboarding is not always available, and another generalist explained to me that there is information from employees that all of HR can review, and information the NYCAPS Central can see. Who is NYCAPS central? And why is HR a bunch of generalists and not specialists?

Does this include all of the unions that some city employees are a part of?

Why is there no agency variable?

What does the title code represent, and why isn't it used to access city programs besides e-learning modules?
