The violation location details were temporarily unavailable for some records due to a bug, but that issue should now be fixed and those details should be fully accessible.

Hi,
I'm building a service that'd help restaurant/food service business monitor issues/summons issued to them across all applicable agencies. Health inspection (DOHMH) seems to be a rather difficult one. I figured out when looking at OATH data set, the issuing_agency = 'DOHMH - BFSCS' (Bureau of Food Safety and Community Sanitation) seem to surface many health violations that correlates to DOHMH dataset.

However, I also realized in OATH data set, when issuing agency is "DOHMH - BFSCS", the dataset is missing many key field values that makes it impossible to figure out which business received a summon. For example - see this link that filters down to zip code 10001 issued by DOHMH - BFSCS.

The issues - many gaps in the OATH dataset for issuing_agency = DOHMH - BFSCS that it's impossible for me to link what OATH summon are for which establishment.
For example -
1. None of the ticket numbers yielded seem to show up in OATH Summons finder.
a. For example 1181325F0 -> ticket number format incorrect (with 0 prefix added)
2. Almost all of the rows are missing "respondent_last_name" which is used by other issuing agencies to store business name or dba name
3. Almost all of the violation_location_* fields are missing

Is this something that can be fixed in the upstream data source or is there another dataset I should investigate?

I noticed when constituents submit complaints about restaurants, especially regarding food safety issues (i.e. food poisoning ..etc), both the 311 agent and the website asks the 'business name'. However I am not able to find business name in erm2-nwe9, which makes it difficult to attribute complaints to the establishments. Is there a data set that includes business name? could I request one?

Hi, 
I'm working on a process to download DOHMH and OATH data so restaurant owners can find summons/violations/citations that are issued to them across all agencies, enabling them to respond proactively and avoid escalating penalties due to accidental negligence of summonses/notices. 

I have a few questions about the overall process when restaurant owners go through the hearing process 
1. How can I find DOHMH summons issued to restaurants?
a. I was able to find two NYC OpenData sets -
i. OATH Hearing Divison Case Status jz4z-kudi
ii. DOHMH NYC Restaurant Inspection Results 43nn-pn8j - last 3 years of inspections and scores  
b. However, I am unable to match the information. For example, for a restaurant in the Bronx called "Lee's Deli - 214 E 188 St", which has DOHMH CAMIS number 50125107. 
i. In DOHMH data set (link here) I see 25 violations cited, many are critical, and the timestamps are in the last 3 years, which makes sense 
ii. In the OATH data set (link here), I see only 6 rows of violations, all of which are from before 2020.
c. According to DOHMH site,OATH hearings division is responsible for handling the violation. However, the data analysis doesn't seem to show that health inspection violations from DOHMH do not flow through to the OATH violations data set. - What am I missing? Do the citations disappear and does not make become OATH summons after certain conditions are met? 
d. If the OATH Hearing division is the wrong dataset, which one should I be looking at ?

I’m encountering a consistent issue querying dataset 4agj-k4jv via the Socrata API.
Issue summary
When querying the dataset through the API, requests fail with:
query.soql.no-such-column; No such column: respondent_first_name
However, the column respondent_first_name is visible in the dataset UI and appears to be a valid field.
Minimal reproducible examples

- The column is visible in the dataset browser UI.

I have also submitted a related ticket to Tyler Technologies (Request #65578).
Could you please investigate whether there is a schema/view inconsistency or stale metadata affecting this dataset?

Hello,
I'm working on an analysis using the Street Pothole Work Orders - Closed dataset and was hoping you could help clarify the update schedule for me.

The dataset currently includes work orders through March 30, 2026, and based on prior months it appears to refresh on the last day of each month. Last month's update landed on March 31 (I believe it was a little after 11am based on metadata). Today is April 30 and the dataset hasn't yet been updated with April data. Could you let me know whether the April refresh is still expected today, or if it's been delayed? If there's a known delay, an estimated timeline would be very helpful for planning.

A little over 54% of records in this database ("Parking Violations Issued - Fiscal Year 2026") are missing the issue_date field, instead being populated only with the new fiscal_year field. Given the other detail in these records, I assume the omission of this field is a mistake, since there is no mention of this change in the Dataset Changelog, but if not, please consider re-adding it since the issue date of these violations represents some of the most important information about them.

Is there a way that the information contained in column name "ARREST_KEY" can be used to locate the NYPD arrest number for that incident, which is a number beginning with the letter M followed by 8 digits? I do realize that the data dictionary describes this column info as "Randomly generated persistent ID for each arrest ." In other words, if I contact NYPD with the number in that column for a given arrest, is there a way I can find out that arrest number? Thank you.

Hi! I am interested in understanding a little more about response times. I downloaded the data and have pulled the FDNY response time to medical emergencies for both EMS and Fire companies. for 2025 (calendar year), I calculated it to be 13.02 minutes for EMS and 15.31 minutes for medical emergencies. Can you please confirm that those are correct? I want to make sure I am reading the data correctly.

A little backgorund that may be helpful - I downloaded the data, pivoted for final incident type and years, so I have the response type by year, then included all average response times (travel, dispatch, ems provessing, ems pickup, calltaker processing, pickup, FD pickup, and FD processing) and used the average for each metric. I greatly appreciate your insight! Thanks.

I was reviewing the open applications for *** in BIS and saw that there were ## filings listed. However, when I checked in the "DOB Job Application Filings" dataset, it only provided me with one application (***).

Then I went to check the "DOB Permit Issuance" dataset, which provided me with the various Job Filing #'s that weren't listed in the Job Filings dataset.

Is there a reason why the data isn't included on the "DOB Job Application Filings" dataset?

Both bride and groom records have same marriage certificate # and same date, but the marriage certificate database for that # is a different couple. Is there any other location that contains marriage certificates that would match the bride and groom registers for that year, or any way to identify/correct a mismatch?

NYC Parks Events Listing – Event Listing, Public Programs Division Special Events

This dataset titled "Parks Special Events" is the most up to date dataset containing historical (ie., past) Parks event information. This data updates monthly to include events from the previous month, so as of yesterday 4/19/26 it includes events that occurred from January 2017 through March 2026. (The other dataset is a record of events taking place from 2013-2019.)

As for future events, there is a dataset called "NYC Parks Public Events – Upcoming 14 Days."This dataset reflects the same information as the events calendar on the Parks website. However, it is currently in a format called JSON, which is not very readable at first glance. We are working on converting this data to an easily readable table format. This table should be up at the same link within a month or so. In the meantime, if you prefer, you can download the JSON file and upload it into a converter tool such as this one: https://jsontotable.org/  in order to view it in a table and search for "gentle yoga."

I’m reporting what appears to be a broken data feed for one of the DOB NOW electrical permit datasets on NYC Open Data.

**The problem:**
The dataset "DOB NOW: Electrical Permit Applications" (dataset ID: dm9a-ab7w) has not received any new data since February 20, 2026. Before that date, it was being updated automatically every day with hundreds of new records. On Feb 20, updates stopped completely.

**How I know new permits ARE being filed:**
The companion dataset "DOB NOW: Electrical Permit Details" (dataset ID: xmmq-y7za) continues to receive daily updates — including today. I can see ~7,800 new electrical permit JFNs in the Details dataset that don't exist in the Applications dataset. So new electrical permits are clearly being processed in DOB NOW, they're just not being published to the Applications dataset anymore.

**What I need from the Applications dataset that the Details dataset doesn't have:**
- Applicant name (first + last)
- Firm name and firm number
- Owner name
- Building address (house number, street, borough, zip)
- Filing status and filing type
- BIN (building identification number)

The Details dataset only has floor-level work items (fixtures, outlets, panels) — it doesn't carry the applicant, firm, or address information listed above.

**My ask:**
Can someone investigate why the automated publishing for dm9a-ab7w stopped on Feb 20 and restore the daily feed? Approximately 53 days of electrical permit application data is missing.
