Hello, I am trying to filter this dataset for 'Full Closure' type streets, excluding all 'Limited Local Access' type streets (as demonstrated in this webpage https://www1.nyc.gov/html/dot/html/pedestrians/openstreets.shtml#map)

I see that there is a column called 'type', which contains one of five values:

Full Block
Full Block – Partner Managed
Open Streets: Play
Open Streets: Restaurants
Protected Bike Lane

Do any of these values differentiate 'Full Closure' type streets from 'Limited Local Access' type streets?

Please provide a mapping of codes to meanings, or correct the column so that it shows a more directly interpretable text directly.

The "CRITICAL FLAG" column has a similar issue; it uses five single-character entries (A, C, G, N, T) which have no evident correspondence to the three possibilities listed in the data dictionary.

Then, you should be able to download only that subset of the data, not the entire 5 million rows. In attempting to collect data for a District Office report as to bicycle and scooter activity relating to public safety, I consulted NYC Open Data listing incidents from 2019 to present. I understand the complexity of recording this type of information, but the data seemingly make no distinction between a 12 year old on a sidewalk roller skate and a full throttle bicyclist ramming in to a pedestrian on the street. Both, of course, might be dangerous, but is there a way to know the difference? There is no mention of scooters, especially the electric ones which are now in legal use (with some restrictions) in Manhattan and may result in injury and damage. The extent of those complaints and infractions might help with planning and regulation. The word "chronic" follows skate/(chronic). Could you explain the meaning as used here of "chronic". In my understanding, it implies a continuing rather than an isolated or acute situation, although the listings are of individual incidents. In a similar way, street & sidewalk are lumped together although it would be useful to understand the frequency of each one separately. Is there a source for the frequency of complaints, tickets and/or arrests for illegal e-bike operation on the street? Please know that no criticism is intended in the questions; I understand the difficulties and the complexities of collecting and presenting the data, some of which comes from the NYPD. The latitude and longitude data in this whole dataset do not match up with the "report owning command" . These data locate the physical locations of each "B summons" issued generally outside the police command which owns the report. In other words, according to these data, nearly all of the summonses issued by a given police precinct in the Bronx were issued outside the physical confines of that precinct, and instead were issued across all five boroughs. For example, of all 21 of the "B" Summonses issued by the 68th Precinct on Feb 4, 2021, 68th Precinct in South Brooklyn and issued on Feb 4, 2021, some give coordinates for Staten Island, the Bronx, Manhattan, and even elsewhere in Brooklyn, but none actually within the 68th Precinct. This is theoretically possible but just barely. Thanks for your help.

We have started to notice a few violations that have been resolved(dismissed or paid) still populating the 'Amount Due'. Once the violation is resolved, this column should show $0 owed. I teach GIS courses ... in November 2020, I downloaded the Year-to-Date NYPD shootings in shapefile and csv formats. This file is accurate. Today, working with a student, I downloaded the version of the file that was updated 1/25/21. This file is grossly inaccurate. If you select for any Boro, you will see points all over the five boros. I looked more closely at incident number 213187656 - Pct 103 in Queens. The coordinates are correct in the November version of the file (-73.790667 & 40.695782) - and incorrect in the January 2021 version of the file (-73.867159 & 40.871449). The point ends up in the Bronx using the latter coordinates.
Please replace the file with the corrected data.

Our office represents the owner of *****, *****, New York - Block ***** Lot ***** (the "Building"). The Building received J-51 Benefits. We have submitted The Abatements Inquiry form on November 8, 2019, and March 3 and 31, 2021 requesting documentation confirming the period that the Building received J-51 Benefits, but the Agency has not responded to our requests. Please email me documents that confirm the period that the J-51 abatement was applied to the Building. If you can email me documents that bear a certification that the documents are true copies, that would be greatly appreciated. I will need to submit the documents the DOF provides us in an Administrative Proceeding before the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal. I am not able to see my vehicle in this dataset. My vehicle registration number is ***** and my TLC license is *****. I called TLC and checked my status online and all my documents are upto date. In the future, please feel free to email the Licensing Inquiries inbox (licensinginquiries@tlc.nyc.gov) with your inquiry directly, or you may use the TLC Upload Portal (TLC UP) to check TLC license status and update documents, and the Licensing Applications, Renewals and Summonses portal (LARS) to apply for a new license, renew a license, or handle a summons. The information on these portals is updated more frequently than NYC Open Data, and is available on-demand 24 hours per day. Links are included below.
