Assigned Agencys Response
Thanks for reaching out about the Taxi and Limousine Commission's open data. We upload raw trip records for all sectors (yellow taxi, green taxi, traditional FHV, and High Volume FHV) to the NYC Open Data platform twice per year, typically Jan - June in August and and July - December in February. You are correct that they are the most recent trip records currently, the second half of 2020 will be loaded to the Open Data portal in Feb 2021.
We do have aggregated reports available that are updated on a monthly basis:
FHV Base Aggregate Report
https://data.cityofnewyork.us/Transportation/FHV-B...
This dataset includes trip counts and unique vehicles dispatched per base/month and include high volume bases. New data is added on a two month lag, as traditional bases submit trip records at the end of the following month and TLC requires a week or so to make contact with noncompliant bases, load and check the data before we publish updates.
TLC Monthly Data Report
TLC aggregated reports page: https://www1.nyc.gov/site/tlc/about/aggregated-rep...
CSV: https://www1.nyc.gov/assets/tlc/downloads/csv/data_reports_monthly.csv
This dataset includes indicators for the yellow taxi, green taxi, traditional FHV, and High Volume FHV sectors. New entries for yellow, green, and high volume are usually published on a one-month lag, while traditional FHV is two months behind.
The TLC does not receive real-time data from high volume for-hire services (HVFHS) bases. HVFHS bases submit data to the TLC on a biweekly schedule. For more information on our trip record requirements for this sector, please check the data submission requirements tab on the high volume for hire services page here: https://www1.nyc.gov/site/tlc/businesses/high-volu...
Hope this helps!
