For example, the field "Acceptable Streets %" seems to be named "acceptable_streets_feb_2014" in the CSV. Because there is a version name in column headers, it is unclear whether the CSV column names will be stable for future updates. Also, February 2014 is inconsistent with the date listed as "Last Updated," so it is also unclear what version of data is actually contained in these fields.

I am a PhD student researcher focused on housing economics. I would like to be able to track changes in the ownership and management of individual NYC buildings through the Registration Contacts dataset (and Multiple Dwelling Registrations from DHPD). The Motor Vehicle Collisions crash table contains details on the crash event. Each row represents a crash event. The Motor Vehicle Collisions data tables contain information from all police reported motor vehicle collisions in NYC. The police report (MV104-AN) is required to be filled out for collisions where someone is injured or killed, or where there is at least $1000 worth of damage (https://www.nhtsa.gov/sites/nhtsa.dot.gov/files/documents/ny_overlay_mv-104an_rev05_2004.pdf). It should be noted that the data is preliminary and subject to change when the MV-104AN forms are amended based on revised crash details.For the most accurate, up to date statistics on traffic fatalities, please refer to the NYPD Motor Vehicle Collisions page (updated weekly) or Vision Zero View (updated monthly).

Adding further to his inquiry: NYPD has sent me their 911 data sets for critical incidents, which do NOT show the July 2019 spike. Also, their data show a spike the first week of June 2020 but then 911 calls return to normal levels and are roughly stable. This makes much more sense, leading me to think that the 911 call data on the NYC data portal are flawed. Happy to send their information along.
***I am researching 911 calls to NYPD. Your data set appears to show critical incident calls to NYPD going from 988 on 6/24/19 to 2,732 on 7/1/19 - more than doubling in a single week. What's up with the data there?
More important, the series goes from 2,515 critical incident calls on May 25, 2020 (the date of George Floyd's death) to 1,420 on June 8, 2020 (just two weeks later). That's a 45% drop in critical 911 calls to NYP in just two weeks. Is that real? Or a statistical glitch? This is a very important issue because 911 call trends are used to measure police-citizen relations.

the column you're trying to query has dates showing with hyphens separators and not forward slashes.

e.g: 2009-04-08

Searching for dates with the right separators should yield a working query.

To view the historic changes to this particular dataset, you can visit: https://github.com/nychealth/coronavirus-data/blob/master/case-hosp-death.csv. For other DOHMH datasets available on Open Data, you can view these historic changes by comparing findings by date of extraction.
