Vehicle must occupy two lanes on the bridges. Vehicle is permitted only on the Center of Upper Roadway of Manhattan Bridge. It is permittee responsibility to keep the vehicle on Center of the Roadway all the time. The permitted vehicle must move with speed less than 10 mph, when vehicle is on bridges. Any change in the proposed vehicle weight or configuration will not be allowed. It is recommended to maintain same speed and not apply brake when the vehicle is crossing the bridges. Do not travel over the bridge if the winds exceed 30 mph. Vehicle must follow and obey all posted signs along the route regarding height restrictions, speed, weight, etc - - as well as all NYC Traffic Rules and Regulations. Obtain all necessary permit from other agencies such as NYSDOT, etc. as applicable. The vehicle must be escorted by vehicles weighting not more than 5000 pounds, 100 ft in front and 100 ft behind the vehicle. All Vehicles including NYC police shall not be allowed between the escort vehicles on the bridges.
