Vehicle must occupy two lanes on the bridge. The permitted vehicle must move with speed less than 5 mph, when vehicle is the bridge. Any change in the proposed vehicle weight or configuration will not be allowed. It is recommended to maintain same speed and not apply brake when the vehicle is crossing the bridge. Do not travel over the bridge if the winds exceed 30 mph. Vehicle must follow and obey all posted signs along the route regarding height restrictions, speed, weight, etc - - as well as all NYC Traffic Rules and Regulations. Obtain all necessary permit form other agencies such as NYSDOT, etc. as applicable. Permittee is responsible for any repair for damage incurred to the bridge structure and any appurtenances caused by proposed crossing operations. The vehicle must be escorted by vehicles weighting not more than 5000 pounds, 100 ft behind the vehicle. The vehicle is responsible to keep 100 feet behind the flow traffic. All Vehicles including NYC police shall not be allowed within 100 ft behind and 100 ft in front of the vehicle on these occupied two lanes of the bridge.
