M.S. 129 Academy for Independent Learning & Leadership
Overview
M.S. 129 functions like a family unit. Students and teachers respect one another. We are proud to be members of the M.S. 129 campus! Our programs are exciting and allow students to take on the challenges of the Common Core. Some of our programs include: Fountas and Pinnell Guided Reading, Rosetta Stone, and Achieve 3000 technology program for our English as a New Language students, READY test preparation, Code X, CMP3 math, and GoMath. Parents are grateful for the principal's open-door policy and the structured disciplinary environment that includes a uniform policy and our high academic expectations. Our goal is to promote independent learning and leadership to all of our students. It is essential that our children understand the value of education. It is our job at M.S. 129 to teach our students to value themselves and to help them realize their full potential. They must push themselves to achieve high marks and to be self-directed leaders if they are to succeed in the future.
