East Harlem Walk-In Asthma Center

Asthma education and support for East Harlem residents.

<p>Children under 18 and their parents living in East Harlem can receive the following services from the East Harlem Asthma Center of Excellence:</p> <ul> <li>individual and group sessions on how to manage symptoms, medications and conditions that trigger attacks</li> <li>case management</li> <li>referrals to free pest management</li> <li>mold removal and housing repairs</li> <li>long-term support for severely affected children.</li> </ul> <p>All services are free and are offered to walk-in customers. Appointments can also be made with asthma counselors. The Center is located at 161-169 East 110 Street New York, NY 10029.</p>

Parking and Camera Violations Refund Form

Request a refund for overpayment of parking, red light camera, bus lane, or speed camera violations.

<p>If a parking ticket or camera violation is overpaid, a refund is automatically mailed to the registered owner of the vehicle 30 business days later if:</p> <ul> <li>The amount owed was reduced by a hearing or appeal after payment was made</li> <li>The same violation was paid more than once</li> <li>The violation was not a parking ticket or camera violation and was paid in error</li> <li>There are no outstanding parking or camera violations in judgment</li> </ul> <p>No request is required. However, if someone other than the registrant paid and is requesting the refund, they must submit a Parking and Camera Violations Refund Form.</p> <p>Booting and towing refunds are not generated automatically and require submission of a refund form.</p> <p>You can download a Parking and Camera Violations Refund Form to fill in and mail to the Department of Finance or complete a refund request online at the Finance website.</p> <p>Finance usually takes about 3 weeks to process a submitted refund form.</p>

The City accepts files along with 911 reports and most NYC311 Service Requests.<br /><br />To include a file from a cell phone or computer with a 911 report, tell the 911 operator that you have files related to your emergency. The 911 operator will enter a special code in the New York Police Department (NYPD) internal communications system. The file will be sent to the NYPD Real Time Crime Center. Depending on the case, the images may be shared widely with the public, police officers on patrol, individual detectives, or other law enforcement agencies. The images may also be used to identify and locate suspects as quickly as possible, or they may be used to help with responding to emergencies.<br /><br />When you submit an eligible Service Request through NYC311 and provide a valid email address, NYC311 will send you an email with a link that allows you to upload files to include with your Service Request.<br /><br />This service is available for most but not all NYC311 Service Requests. The City accepts reports of damaged or dirty automatic public toilets. Problems may include broken glass, flooding, graffiti, broken or poor lighting, structural damage, lack of supplies, or operating issues.<br><br>The City also accepts requests for the placement of new automatic public toilets.<br><br>A private company installs and maintains automatic public toilets based on agreements with the City. The City reports complaints to the contractor and monitors the contractor's work. The City works closely with local community boards and other parties to identify new sites for automatic public toilets. Toilets can only be placed in areas that meet specific structural requirements, so land surveys are an important part of the selection process.

The Benchmarking Help Center's goal is to help New York City increase compliance, improve data accuracy, and assist new building owners to benchmark, enabling New Yorkers to use energy and water responsibly and prepare for a more sustainable future.</p> <p>The Benchmark requirement requires owners of large buildings to annually measure and report their energy consumption through a process called benchmarking. These building owners must use the Environmental Protection Agency's online Portfolio Manager to create the report. The report deadline is May 1 each year. Failure to benchmark by May 1 will result in a violation and financial penalty.</p> <p>The Department of Buildings accepts challenges to violations issued for failure to comply with the Benchmarking requirement.
