The City will pick up raccoons, foxes, skunks, coyotes, bats, and groundhogs that are either dead or alive and which have fought with, scratched or bitten, or have been killed or attacked by a family pet. If a pet has killed one of these animals, you should not dispose of the dead animal in the regular trash.<br /><br /> Certain types of wildlife that have had physical contact with people or family pets should be tested for rabies to ensure that people and their pets have not been infected with rabies. Not all wild animals will require pick up, and the City will evaluate each report on an individual basis.
